Periodontal Disease Treatment

Periodontal (gum) disease occurs when plaque and calculus accumulate on the teeth and gums. Those with periodontal disease often have gums that are red, swollen, and/or prone to bleeding. When left untreated, periodontal disease can lead to tooth and bone loss and has been linked to serious health disorders such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.

At Chantilly Dental Center, we aim to prevent and treat periodontal disease to keep you in optimal oral and physical health. We offer many services, provided by our periodontist, which are designed to keep your teeth and gums clean and healthy. In between visits to our office, it is very important to floss and brush daily in order to avoid periodontal disease. If you have any questions about periodontal disease or its treatment, please call our office today.
